101 Things in 1001 Days

Getting things done – one day at a time.

#99 – Meet a blog-friend in person.

Over the weekend I attended FitBloggin’10 and there I met Mel from Mel’s Box of Chocolates, who turned out to be just as awesome in person as she is on her blog and Twitter. I had a great time and loved getting to know her better, as well as meeting so many other awesome fit bloggers.

#18 – Go to 3 writing conferences or retreats.

I registered for the MWA Writer’s Conference again this year (happening in April) and I also attended FitBloggin’ last weekend, which I suppose isn’t really a writing conference, but definitely inspired my blog writing. Looks like I can scratch this one off my list.

#5 – Practice yoga 3 times per week for 8 weeks in a row.

I was doing really well on this one until last week, when I managed to totally skip out on yoga for the entire week (except for the few minutes before bed that I do yoga stretches most nights). I’m getting straight back into it this week, though. 0/8 and counting…again.

#34 – Read 50 books.

I’ve been on a reading rampage the last few months. OK, maybe not to some of you, but definitely for me. Since last report, I’ve finished Size 14 is Not Fat Either by Meg Cabot and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. I enjoyed both of them, but I really liked “the potato book” as the girls in my book club have taken to calling it. That’s 30 books read and plenty of time to get in the remaining 20. I’m seriously considering upping the challenge to 70 books, but I think I’ll wait to see how this progress plays out over the next few months.
